OUR HOPE　復興への思い

２０１１年３月１１日。東日本大震災と東京電力福島第１原発事故によって、福島県民をはじめ国民の多くが深い悲しみに包まれ、厳しい現実と直面しました。

On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident at the Tokyo Electric Power Company’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant plunged the people of Fukushima, and many across Japan, into deep sorrow and forced them to confront a harsh reality.

わたしたちは自転車というスポーツに復興と復興への活力があると信じています。震災と原発事故から１２年余りを経て２０２３年、被災地を縦断するツール・ド・ふくしまが誕生しました。

We believe that cycling, as a sport, has the power to support recovery and inspire renewed vitality. In 2023, more than twelve years after the earthquake and nuclear accident, the Tour de Fukushima was born, traversing the disaster-affected regions.

ツール・ド・ふくしまは４年目となる２０２６年、ＵＣＩグランフォンドワールドシリーズと位置づけられました。避難指示が解除されたばかりの被災地を駆け抜け、爽やかな浜風から福島復興の今を感じ取っていただきたい。

In its fourth year, 2026, the Tour de Fukushima has been designated as part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series. Riders will pass through areas where evacuation orders have only recently been lifted, feeling the refreshing coastal breeze and experiencing Fukushima’s recovery as it is today.

そして、復興に向けて歩みを進める福島の今を国内外に発信してもらいたい。

We hope that participants will share the present-day Fukushima, steadily moving forward on the path to recovery, with people both in Japan and around the world.
